Welcome to the College of Health and Environmental Health

The College of Business at Apex University is a center of academic excellence committed to training students in key business disciplines to meet the demands of today’s workforce and society. Mission

The mission of the Department of Public Health is to educate and train public health professionals who will contribute to the improvement of health and well-being in Liberia and beyond. The department is committed to advancing public health knowledge through research, promoting health equity, and developing leaders to address today’s and tomorrow’s health challenges.

Freshman Applicants 

  • A high school diploma from accredited high school in Liberia with WEAC/WACSSE a minimum average score per APEX University’s admission standards. certificates with
  • Strong academic performance in relevant subjects such as Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry and English
  • With a level of high moral conducts and disciplines

Transfer Students 

  • Completion of at least one academic semester/year at an accredited institution based on the underlying condition/s of the transfer
  • A minimum GPA as required by APEX University’s transfer policy.
  • Relevant coursework aligned with the College’s curriculum for credit transfer and the student score card.

Freshman Students 

  • Apply for the college entrance and successfully pass as prescribed by the University
  • Submit high school documents (WEAC, WASS, transcripts etc.) and other related documents
  • Attend and also pass the interview which will discuss your goals and interests.

Transfer Students 

  • Submit official transcripts for evaluation of credit transfer eligibility.
  • Fill out the transfer application and include a transfer statement.
  • Provide two letters from instructors or faculty at your current institution.

Applicants can submit documents through the following channels:

  1. Online Submission: Upload all documents via the university’s online application portal.
  2. In-Person Submission: Deliver physical copies of the required documents to the Admissions Office at the university campus.
  3. Mail Submission: Send documents to:

    Apex University,
    Monrovia, Liberia.


Freshman Year 

  • Foundation courses in Mathematics, Physics, and introduction to Environmental Science, Basic English and Computer Science.
  • Introduction to Biostatistics

Sophomore Year 

  • Courses focusing on Environmental Science and introduction to GIS
  • Introduction to application of GIS

Junior Year 

  • Introduction of comparative analysis of Environmental Field work data
  • Introduction to Research projects and presentation of research proposals

Senior Year 

  • Presentation project with guidance from Supervisor/s
  • Final Presentation and preparation for graduation
  • Elective courses tailored to career interests, along with intensive lab or fieldwork.

Students will be confer a degree from the College of Environmental Science after completing all the required credit hours, field work and completion of their research work as specified by the college. Each pathway is designed to equip students with a strong foundation and practical expertise: 

  1. Core Curriculum Completion—Students must complete foundational and advanced courses tailored to their discipline, building both theoretical and practical knowledge.
  2. Field work, collection, compilation and analysis of data
  3. A Senior – year project is required to allow students to demonstrate their mastery of courses and presentation of this project before their graduation

Mr. David S. Kollie

Dean of the College of Health Sciences
I am an Environmental/Community Health Technician {EHT}, RN, with AA, BSc and MSNEd in Nursing and Nursing Education respectively. I am a Nurse Educator, a trained Environmental/Community Health Technician also trained in Behavior Change Communication/IPC (Interpersonal Communication), Infection prevention control – K.S.K.S and S.Q.S, a Trained Monitoring and Evaluation Officer and a Registered Nurse with some national & international knowledge in EPI, Disease Surveillance, Ebola and Covid – 19 intervention and Management.

Mss. Tammay Mulbah

Miss A. Tammay K. Mulbah is a professional Nurse born on June 10, 1980 unto the Union of Mr. Supu Mulbah and Mrs. Yamah Sienneh Mulbah (both are died) in Bong County, Phebe Hospital. She lives in Baptist Seminary Community, RIA High Way, Paynesville City, Monrovia Liberia. Passionate and dedicated nursing professional with over 15 years of experience in the healthcare field, specializing in neonatal care and Clinical training in nursing education. Committed to delivering high-quality patient care and fostering a supportive learning environment fort that will aspire healthcare providers. Known for exceptional clinical skills, compassionate patient in tractions, and a strong commitment to professional development.
