Our Mission

Freshman Applicants 

  • A high school diploma with a minimum average score as determined by Apex University’s admissions standards.
  • Strong academic records in relevant subjects based on the intended major (e.g., English for Education majors, Social Sciences for Sociology and Criminal Justice majors).
  • Demonstrated commitment to learning and interest in societal development.

Transfer Students 

  • Completion of at least one academic year at a recognized institution.
  • A minimum GPA as set by the University’s transfer policy, typically a 3.0 or equivalent.
  • Relevant coursework matching the college’s curriculum requirements for credit transfer.

Freshman Students 

  • Application Submission: Complete the online application form through the Apex University admissions portal.
  • Supporting Documents: Submit high school transcripts, two letters of recommendation, and a personal statement.
  • Interview: An interview is required to assess the student’s interests and goals.

Current University Student (Transfer Students)

  • Transcript Evaluation: Submit transcripts from your current institution for review. Course credits will be evaluated for equivalency.
  • Application Form: Complete the transfer application and provide a transfer statement explaining the reason for transfer.
  • Letters of Recommendation: Submit two recommendation letters from faculty members at the current institution.

All application materials, including transcripts, recommendation letters, and personal statements, can be submitted online through the Apex University of Liberia admissions portal. In case of technical issues or if any documents require physical submission, applicants may mail them to the Admissions Office at Apex University’s campus.

Each degree is structured to progressively build expertise. Below is a typical outline:

  • Freshman Year: Foundation courses in core subjects (Education, Sociology, or Criminal Justice), introductory writing, and liberal arts electives.
  • Sophomore Year: Intermediate courses focusing on field-specific knowledge and research skills, plus general electives.
  • Junior Year: Advanced specialization courses, project-based learning, and preparatory courses for internships.
  • Senior Year: Capstone project or thesis, intensive field practicums, and elective courses to support career goals.

Students can earn a degree from the College of Education and Liberal Arts by completing all required coursework and credit hours as per the specific program’s requirements, along with any fieldwork or capstone projects. Each department offers a structured pathway:

  • Core Curriculum Completion: Each program includes foundational and advanced courses in the chosen field, developing key theoretical knowledge and practical skills.
  • Field Practicum and Internship: Real-world experiences through internships and practicums ensure students gain hands-on knowledge in relevant industries.
  • Capstone Project or Thesis: Depending on the program, students may complete a final project or thesis that demonstrates their mastery of the subject.

Our Dedicated Faculty

The College of Education and Liberal Arts is supported by a dedicated team of 19 instructional staff members, including six instructors and one lab attendant in the Department of Computer Science, four instructors in the Department of Civil Engineering, four instructors in Mathematics, and two instructors each in Physics and Chemistry. Dean and Senior Lecturer, College of Education and Liberal Arts
Mr. Arrow John Bockarie is an inspiring academic leader and dedicated professional with a multifaceted background in Peace and Development Studies and Sociology, earning advanced degrees from Njala University, Sierra Leone, and the University of Luxembourg. A senior figure in academia and development, Mr. Bockarie combines his deep knowledge in social sciences with hands-on experience, actively shaping educational frameworks and societal advancement.

Mr. Samuel Sainleseh Kwaidah

Senior Lecturer/Research & Development
Samuel Sainleseh Kwaidah, a reverend and dedicated educator, holds a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Education Administration and Supervision and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Sociology from the University of Liberia, complemented by a Bachelor of Theology (B.Th.) from Gbarnga School of Theology at the United Methodist University. As a seasoned professional, Kwaidah brings a robust background in law enforcement, having served as the Director of Prisons with the Bureau of Corrections and Rehabilitation (BCR) at Liberia's Ministry of Justice, where he retired honorably after a distinguished career in corrections supervision.
